Kathy Teegarden - Occupational Therapist

Kathryn has provided occupational therapy services in the Minneapolis Public Schools for the past 23 years.  Her services have included district-wide evaluation of children from three to five years old and intervention services for children from birth to 18 years old in home, center and community-based setting.  She draws from her extensive experience with children with sensory processing disorders and physical disabilities and her knowledge of a range of techniques and models to create unique interventions to help each child improve his or her motor and self-regulation skills.
 
Kathryn received her Bachelor of Art degree from Lawrence University and a Master of Science degree from Columbia University in Occupational Therapy.  Prior to joining the Minneapolis Public School District, she worked in a wide variety of settings and positions including Director of Occupational Therapy in an acute care hospital, Occupational Therapy Consultant for the Iowa State Department of Health, and Quality Assurance consultant for the American Occupational Therapy Association.  She has also been active in developing curriculum and leading workshops in her areas of expertise.
